Yesterday i was invited to do a motivational talk at a Foster Children Holiday Program.This basically entailed me to share my story (testimony) with teenagers (youth)from ages 13-16.
This is what thee program looked like:
1. Opening and Welcome: Ms Mangola
2. Purpose of the day: Ms November
3. Ice breaker: Stanton (Social Development)
4. Goal Setting: Jeremy (City of Cape Town)
5. Motivational speaker: Ms Short
6. Motivational speaker: Brent Williams
7. Motivational speaker: Mr.Cowley
We had an awesome time with these kids and it was a blessing to sow into their lives as they certainly need each and every encouragement they can get.At first these kids looked so down and i was thinking how they would receive and respond to this program.But as the day progressed they seem to open up more and became comfortable with the facilitators.
They responded well to all the activities and their feedback was great. And of course Social Development outdid themselves with the catering once again.I just thank God for every opportunity i get to share what He has done in my life.
